Info on the Mares F-Light BCD
The brand new F-Light from Mares is a super light BCD with ergo inflator ideal
for scuba diving holidays when weight is crucial.
Th F-Light weighs about 2.3kg for a medium, slightly heavier than some of its
competition due to its 420 Cordura fabric giving it a tough, high-quality feel.
The D-rings are made from a super-light alloy to help to keep the weight down.
There are no integrated weight pockets on the BCD but this is offset by a very
large pocket on either side of the BCD, giving plenty of space to store compact
reels and delayed SMBs.
As the BCD is designed for travel it has a fully flexible back pad, as a result
a second cylinder stability strpa has been added to help transfer the weight to
the hips rather than down the spine.
An elasticated cummberband helps keep the BCD tight and stable, taking up any
slack whilst diving.
There are three dump valves in the usual places, one on the top of the
corrugated hose, one top right and the other bottom left and also deflation
using the power inlator assembly.
